Keloid scars

A keloid scar is an overgrowth of tissue that occurs when too much collagen is produced at the site of the wound.
Keloids may be inflamed, itchy, and painful, especially during their growth phase. Unlike hypertrophic scars, keloids grow much larger than the wound that caused the scar.

Hypertrophic scars

Hypertrophic scars are the result of excess collagen being produced at the site of a wound.
Hypertrophic scars are often red, inflamed, itchy, and even painful. They typically occur after burn injury on the trunk and extremities.

Atrophic scars

Atrophic scars are flat and depressed below the surrounding skin commonly after acne or chickenpox. So atrophic scars give the skin a sunken or pitted look.
DERMAMAGIG is not indicated for the treatment of depressed scars caused by skin conditions, such as acne and chicken pox.
